Having won 1st prize in the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) 2015 International Classical Guitar Competition, one of the most prestigious and respected classical guitar competition in the world, Thibaut wins a 50-concert world tour which includes Carnegie Hall and Sarasota, Florida. Also included is a collaborative CD recording contract with Naxos, GHA, and Mel Bay.

Born in Toulouse, France, Thibaut Garcia started playing the guitar at the age of seven. He earned his degree in Chamber Music studying under Renaud Gruss and his Guitar degree with honorable mention under the tutelage of Paul Ferret. At sixteen he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and studied with Olivier Chassain earning his Bachelor of Arts with the honors. He also had private lessons with Judicael Perroy.

By the age of twenty one, Thibaut won several international classical guitar competition prizes including: 1st prize of the international competition of GFA, Oklahoma City (U.S.A) 2015; 1st prize of the international competition “Jose Tomas” (Spain) 2014; 1st prize of the international competition of Sevilla (Spain) 2013; 1st prize of the international competition “Terra Siculorum” (Romania) 2013; 1st prize of the international competition “Ana Amalia”, Weimar (Germany) 2011; 1st prize of the international competition “Valle de Egues” (Spain) 2008.

As a result of his first prize in Sevilla’s International Competition in 2013 along with the first prize in the Jose Tomas International Competition in Spain in 2014, Thibaut was invited to perform throughout the world including in France, Spain, England, Germany, Romania, Hungary, Canada, United States, Brazil, Greece, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, China, and more. Mr Garcia has collaborated with other artists in ensembles including a guitar duo with Antoine Morinière; a quartet with violin, cello, guitar, and piano  (with Jean-Frédéric Neuburger); a trio  with Raphaël Sévère (clarinet) and Antoine Morinière (guitar). Currently, Mr Garcia is preparing a world debut of pieces by Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and Vincent A. Jockin.

Thibaut performed in France on the national TV show “La Boîte à Musique” aired on the station France 2, and in December 2015, he performed on “France Musique in Gaëlle” as the result of an invitation from musician Jean-François Zygel. He also earned the distinction of “filleul” from the Charles Cros Academy.

His first CD titled “Demain dès l’aube”, was produced by Contrastes Records in 2014.
